Why Big Brother 25’s Cameron Hardin Deserves To Win America’s Favorite Houseguest

Big Brother 25’s Cameron Hardin may not have won the game, but he definitely deserves to take home the $50,000 America’s Favorite Houseguest prize.

Big Brother 25 houseguest Cameron Hardin became the first member of the jury weeks ago, and therefore can’t win the whole game, but Cameron deserves to win the $50,000 America’s Favorite Houseguest prize. Cameron, a 34-year-old stay-at-home dad from Eastman, Georgia, played the game for 72 days. He made it to day 51 when he was unanimously evicted, but then returned to the house as a Big Brother Zombie. After a week as a Zombie, Cameron resurrected his game by winning competitions, and managed to stay in the house for two more weeks.

Throughout Big Brother 25, Cameron was known for having fun by causing chaos. His allies, including Red Utley, and later Bowie Jane, Jag Bains, and Matt Klotz, were constantly turning on him. Cameron was nominated five times throughout his stint on Big Brother 25. However, he also won seven competitions while he was in the house. Cameron deserves to win America’s Favorite Houseguest for several reasons.

Cameron not only played the best Big Brother 25 game, but there were times when it seemed as though he were the only houseguest playing the game at all. As a Big Brother superfan, Cameron knew that he had to be strategic with his gameplay. When he wanted to target Cirie Fields, he didn’t strike at her first, but instead went after her allies, Felicia Cannon and Izzy Gleicher. However, his plans to backdoor Cirie were thwarted when her son, Jared Fields, won the Power of Veto. Because their relationship was a secret, Cameron didn’t realize that he’d revealed his plan to the one person who’d never use the Power of Veto to target Cirie.

When Cameron and Jared spent their week battling their way back into the house as Zombies, Jared used his time to confront those who evicted him. However, Cameron thought ahead, and decided to spend the week building relationships with people he could work with down the line. He formed the Fugitives alliance with Jag and Matt. A student of the game, he modeled the Fugitives after Big Brother 12’s iconic alliance,The Brigade. However, Jag and Matt jumped at the chance to evict Cameron and convinced Head of Household (HOH) Bowie Jane to backdoor him while they had the chance.

Although one could argue that Cameron can’t be the best player if he was evicted, this is untrue. Twists in the game that were beyond his control threw a wrench in his plans. The worst of this was when Cameron won the HOH Pressure Cooker endurance competition after an incredible 13 hours and 49 minutes of pressing his button, just five minutes short of breaking the record set by Jennifer Vasquez during Big Brother 6. Cameron successfully targeted Jag, but Matt used the Power of Invincibility to save Jag from his unanimous eviction. Similarly, the Cirie and Jared twist put a stop to Cameron’s plans.

Cameron Was A Competition Beast

Cameron won three HOH and two Power of Veto competitions while he was in the Big Brother 25 house. One of these was the Tiny Veto competition that requires immense patience and strategy, and proved that he wasn’t just a physical threat. He also won the Resurrection Rumble and the Do or Die competition, in order to earn his way back into the house after he was evicted. This record, combined with being nominated for eviction five times, proves that Cameron is a new Big Brother legend. However, because houseguests can’t play in the HOH competition every week, Cameron was left vulnerable when he didn’t win.

Cameron Deserves Recognition For His Gameplay

Cameron deserves to be recognized for his Big Brother 25 gameplay. He was a strong threat, so he became a target week after week. Because of the nature of Big Brother, players like Cameron often get evicted early, and then weaker houseguests make it to the end of the game because they’re seen as unthreatening and easy to beat in the finale. However, this is frustrating to watch because the best players, like Cameron, often go home way too early and empty-handed. Cameron should be rewarded for his hard work and entertaining gameplay.

Throughout Big Brother 25, Cameron played basically by himself without a loyal and true alliance member. He was impressive and powerful, and deserves to be acknowledged on finale night. It’ll be very satisfying and exciting to see Cameron take the $50,000 America’s Favorite Houseguest prize home to his daughter.

Big Brother 25 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT, Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT, and Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
