Jeff Kober Returns To GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Cyrus just keeps popping up, like a bad penny! Jeff Kober unexpectedly made a cameo at the cliffhanger of the June 29 episode and has since returned to GENERAL HOSPITAL for another term. It’s anyone’s guess as to how long he’ll stick around or what mischief he’ll make this time!

Kober made his daytime debut when he joined the cast of GH in the role of the villainous Cyrus Renault in February 2020. Although initially meant to be a short-term role, it soon expanded and Cyrus was revealed to be the brother of legacy character Laura Webber. Although Cyrus was shipped off to prison in June 2021, he has continued to make the occasional appearance in the years that have followed.

The last viewers saw Cyrus, he was helping to protect Spencer when he was serving time in Pentonville. During his appearances behind bars, Cyrus has been quoting scripture and saying that he’s a changed man now that he’s found religion. Of course, he’s clearly still capable of turning dark when necessary, like planting a shiv on another inmate who threatened Spencer so he’d be sent to solitary.

Drew will run into Cyrus now that he is going to prison for a while. In fact, the prisoner referred to Drew as a “friend” and told a guard to get ready for his impending arrival. Since fans are aware that is undoubtedly untrue, everyone is speculating as to what Cyrus may have planned for Drew while he was incarcerated.

And while Drew will likely be let out early for good behavior (or if Zeke can manage to strike a new deal to get his sentence reduced), how much longer will Cyrus remain locked up? You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out!
