Portia’s confession that she wasn’t sure whether Curtis or Taggert was Trina’s biological father tore the family apart but over time, they have healed and come together. And now that the DNA test has revealed that Curtis is Trina’s dad, the pair are trying to navigate their new relationship. And things seem to be going well as the Ashfords gather to celebrate a birthday party at the Metro Court pool, sharing drinks and taking selfies.

Meanwhile, Ned’s accident at the pool that landed him in the hospital has the Quartermaine clan worried about him and Brook Lynn and Olivia holding tearful vigils waiting for him to wake up. Nina is also nervous about whether or not Ned will come around, though for a very different reason! “The second that Ned wakes up, he is going to spill everything,” she worries to Ava.

However, when Nina talks to Sonny about the situation, he’s still in the dark that it was Nina who actually turned Carly and Drew in to the SEC. Despite Ned’s protestations of innocence, Sonny remains convinced he had something to do with it, so he’s eager for the guy to wake up and start talking. “And then maybe he’ll start telling everybody the truth,” he declares to a concerned-looking Nina.

Tracy alleged that Drew assaulted Ned and threw him into the pool, however it is obvious that Tracy’s allegations were unfounded because Drew is now a free man and is meeting Carly at the Metro Court. She queries, “Did you find something?” Have they discovered a defense to the insider trading allegations?
