According to General Hospital spoilers, Cindy Watros’s character Nina Reeves’s SEC secret is now public knowledge. This puts her relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) in jeopardy.
Even so, what about Michael Corinthos’s (Chad Duell) prison scheme, in which he spent months attempting to discredit his father, even though it’s good that it has been made public? Will that be forgotten about?
Many Storylines Are Being Forgotten Since The Writer’s Strike Wrapped Up
Spoilers for GH reveal that when Michael discovered Nina’s SEC secret, the writers had a unique chance. This would have allowed her to learn of Michael’s scheme and how he recruited Evan Hofer’s character, Dex Heller, to work as a mole for the mob leader in order to obtain information and imprison him.
Michael looked forward to the opportunity to feed his father to the feds and nail him to the wall for months on end. His hatred of Sonny reached incredible proportions. Still, a lot of developing storylines came to an end along with the writer’s strike.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) doesn’t seem to have as many scenes with Sonny anymore as the two looked like they were headed to have a closer friendship and possible romance; this seems to be “over”.
Then there was the Pikeman arc that finished up fast; in fact, if you blinked, you might have missed John Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) fantastic performances.
There’s Still Time, Right?
While most fans can agree, that it’s great that Nina’s SEC secret is out, and she certainly does deserve to face some sort of wrath, what she did pales in comparison to what Michael did.
First off, she hated Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and they are known enemies, while Michael is Sonny’s son. While Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) ended up paying the biggest price when all was said and done, that was of his own accord. He threw himself under the bus and faced the consequences.
Still, Nina believed it was Carly who was going to get nailed to the wall, so technically she shouldn’t feel guilty about anything that happened to Drew.
Lastly, and most importantly, Darly did commit a crime. While allowing Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to take the fall was probably the biggest misdeed she made.
The truth will eventually come to light, and perhaps the best revelations come from long-kept secrets. Fans will therefore need to wait and see!
Will Michael’s plan to put Sonny in jail be ignored by the program, or will it be revealed in 2024? Post a comment below. For the latest General Hospital news, updates, and spoilers, visit GHT frequently and watch your favorite ABC soap opera every day to find out what will happen next.
