Spoilers for General Hospital state Certainly, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has experienced a lot of loss lately. She believed Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), her husband, was dead until she lost him to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) last year.
It was painful to lose him twice, but in some ways, losing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) could have been worse. Shortly after, she experienced a slight financial decline as a result of losing millions in a corporate merger that never materialized. Nina also conveniently acquired her firm, the Metro Court.
Most recently, she lost her boyfriend, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), to a three-year prison sentence. But nothing will compare to the pain of losing her mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman). Bobbie’s death is going to impact more people than just her children though.
Bobbie Spencer Dies
GH fans lost one of their favorite legacy characters in May of this year. After losing a brief fight with cancer, Jaclyn Zeman was laid to rest by her family. Although we haven’t yet seen this drama unfold on film, we anticipate it to be very emotional.
Bobbie’s death will leave Carly forever scarred and feeling like there is little else that could be taken from her in this world.
Questioning how she got here and how one person could be expected to withstand losing so much, Carly may come to lean on the one person who has been a constant in her life since shortly after she came to Port Charles and met her birth mother – Sonny.
GH Spoilers Say A Third Strike is Coming Against Sonny
Sonny is going to be up against his own threats and worrying that his family stands to lose even more soon. The third strike against his life is going to leave. The mobster rattled. Won’t be a familiar feeling for him or one that he’s comfortable with.
Moreover, Carly will be worried sick after learning that the shooting at the Metro Court pool was intended for Sonny, not Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). A third shooting is going to leave both Carly and Nina shaken. But whose feelings will take priority to the don?
Nina is Already Pulling Away
Suffice it to say, Nina is already pulling away from her relationship with Sonny — she just doesn’t notice it yet. Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) may have started off as Nina’s enemy, but Eddie Maine is far from it.
Soon, Nina might discover that she prefers Eddie’s company to Sonny’s. The fact that she seems unconcerned about being shot while he is playing his guitar is just gravy.
It’s certainly feasible that Carly and Sonny will reconnect after a slew of disasters that befall their family unit, especially with Nina drifting out of the picture and Drew away for the next three years. Will the stress rekindle their bond between them? Watch this space for more GH information and reveals.
