Spoilers for General Hospital suggest that there is more to Adam Wright’s (Joshua Benard) story than meets the eye.
As a weirdo who harassed Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) about her “viral video” with Cameron Webber (William Lipton), he first appeared on the canvas in the spring of 2022.
Over time, he more than made up for his past transgressions by befriending Ms. Jack and studying with her.
But in terms of his plot, will mental health take center stage?
Is Adam Wright Obsessed With Josslyn Jacks Or Just Getting Good Grades?
According to GH teasers, Adam is always up for a study session. He is, in the kindest of ways, often pushing Joss to work on her books with him and appears to be at her door or around the corner.
It’s difficult to ignore the possibility that he may be fascinated with Joss because this is the land of soap operas, and this may develop into a stalker arc.
Nevertheless, his character recently got a “bad” grade and reacted strangely. Not only did Adam seem unhappy, but he also appeared to be in pain. Is there more to this tale, or will it take a dark turn where he targets Ms. Jack?
The Soap Is No Stranger To Mental Health Storylines
Daytime drama is known for presenting unrealistic mental health storylines, and GH has been guilty of this as well; however, they’ve also been successful at raising awareness by creating genuine arcs when it comes to mental health instability.
Adam Wright’s portrayer, Joshua Benard has a family link to the show through his dad Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), who has struggled with real-life mental health issues, and his character has, too.
GH kept it “all in the family” when Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) developed bipolar, as well.
Perhaps Adam won’t get fixated with Joss, but perhaps he has worry. He wants to attend a reputable medical school and pursue a career in medicine.
It’s possible that the pressure from his parents is contributing to his fixation with studying and getting good grades. However, he might be dealing with another mental illness, such as depression, bipolar disorder, or personality problem.
