‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Films Finale At Middleburg Barn

Loudoun residents watching the finale episode of the TV series “Farmer Wants a Wife” may recognize some familiar scenes in the show.

The episode – the reunion of the farmers and contestants – was filmed at the Middleburg Barn at Fox Chase Farm in Middleburg.

‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ is a reality series that follows four farmers from around the country who are on a quest for love.

Maureen Hanley, the co-owner of the Middleburg Barn, which serves as a space for weddings and other events and parties, said the filming took place in December, before Christmas, and it took about 10 to 12 days.

David Tibballs, the show’s executive producer, said they selected the Middleburg Barn for its beautiful, rural location where they could bring the four farmers and some of the women to find out what happened after the cameras stopped rolling.

“We wanted an authentic barn location that would be a suitable setting for our show that celebrates farming and the American heartland,” he said.

He added that it is a “stunning location with gorgeous exterior locations that provided excellent backdrops for interviews with cast members and epic aerial drone shots.”

He said the location offered everything they needed, including a dressing room for Jennifer Nettles, who is the host of the reunion, as well as the farmers and women. It also had space for catering, crew staging areas and a director’s control room.

“We were lucky to be in such a special place for a few days to set up and shoot,” he said. “We were welcomed with open arms by the very generous owners and their team who helped the shoot run smoothly and allowed us to capture a wonderful and revealing reunion episode that will bring a fantastic season to a close.”

Hanley said she has a background in television production, helping her understand the process.

“They transformed the barn into a set. They were amazing and very professional,” she said.
