Eva Le Queen officially began her campaign for “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Global All Stars,” and she was among the top queens in the first episode.
On Instagram, the Filipina drag artist shared the inspiration for her runway look in the pilot, which is a fitted dress dripping with gold and silver coin-like elements paired with a “Salakot” or a traditional headgear, usually used by farmers, for protection against sun and rain.
Eva Le Queen said her outfit was inspired by her grandfather, who used to be a farmer.
“The “Alkansya” or bamboo piggy bank,” Eva wrote.
“Look inspired by my lolo who used to fill the bamboo pillars of his Nipa hut with his hard-earned coins from farming as their humble inheritance for their kids,” she added.
Eva Le Queen emerged in the Top 2 of the pilot episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Global All Stars,” aired last Friday.
Eva Le Queen was a finalist in Season 1 of “Drag Race Philippines,” where Precious Paula Nicole was hailed as the first Drag Superstar. The show is in its third season, with Captivating Katkat winning Season 2.
