Big Brother 26 Episode 8 Recap: Was Angela, Tucker Or Lisa Evicted On August 1?

Heading into the eighth episode of “Big Brother 26,” Kenney Kelley had just won the Power of Veto medallion and removed himself from the nomination block. Head of Household Chelsie Baham then replaced him with Tucker Des Lauriers (who volunteered to go up), which meant either Tucker, Angela Murray or Lisa Weintraub would be evicted on Thursday night, depending on who won the impending A.I. Arena challenge.

Here are the names of the 15 remaining houseguests: Angela Murray, Brooklyn Rivera, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Cedric Hodges, Chelsie Baham, Joseph Rodriguez, Kenney Kelley, Kimo Apaka, Leah Peters, Lisa Weintraub, Makensy Manbeck, Quinn Martin, Rubina Bernabe, T’kor Clottey and Tucker Des Lauriers.

8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the seventh episode, the Veto challenge took place in the backyard with Kenney pulling out a victory by balancing his 1’s and 0’s faster than his competitors. Elsewhere, Angela got into a bit of trouble when Quinn betrayed something she’d told him about a group hanging out in the backyard (Chelsie, Cedric, Cam and T-kor). Tucker agreed to go up on the block in Kenney’s place, then doubled back and suggested maybe Makensy should be the nominee so that her upgrade power could be flushed. In the end, Chelsie nominated Tucker alongside Angela and Lisa. Who will be going home tonight?

8:05 p.m. – After the veto meeting, the topic on everyone’s minds was which houseguests had the secret powers from week 1 and how best to use that knowledge as an advantage. Tucker thought Chelsie should have nominated Makensy to neutralize her power and with the target on her own back, and he thought that Lisa had the second one. He challenged her about it in a private conversation, but Lisa denied that she has it and in the sam breath lied to Tucker about her vote to evict Matt. In order to further his agenda of getting her evicted, Tucker went around the house to tell everyone that Lisa has the power.

8:12 p.m. – Wanting to save herself, Angela went to the house gossip Tucker to feed to him her knowledge that Quinn has the secret power, even as he was telling her that Quinn isn’t the person he thought had it. In that moment, Quinn walked out to the backyard in the middle of their conversation, but that didn’t stop Angela from boasting that she was “looking for leverage.” Quinn knew immediately what pot she was stirring.

8:16 p.m. – Later when Tucker, Lisa, Rubina and Joseph were talking about Angela as a “loose cannon,” Angela was listening at the door and then stared them all down as they w alked out of the room. Angela proceeded to openly mock Lisa’s walk and then called her a “twit” which ignited a verbal altercation between the two in front of the whole house. Lisa called Angela a bully and retreated to the storage room in an apparent panic attack.

8:24 p.m. – The first order of business or the night was to remove one of the three nominees from the block with the A.I. Arena comp. For this one, they had to rotate gears on a display and assemble puzzle pieces on top of them in order to match a security scanner key in the shortest amount of time. Tucker assembled his pieces first and successfully removed himself from the block with lightning speed. His win meant that the house would only have a few minutes to decided between Lisa and Angela.

8:34 p.m. – With only a few minutes to campaign to the house before the vote, Angela was seen crying while hugging T’Kor and Lisa stayed among the group as they all congratulated Tucker on his win. In their official speeches to the room, Angela enthusiastically thanked everyone in the house and outside for supporting her in her dream and Lisa calmly quoted Natasha Bedingfield lyrics and mentioned “setting an example” with their game by keeping her.

8:39 p.m. – In the voting booth we saw: Tucker vote to evict Lisa, Rubina vote to evict Lisa, Quinn vote to evict Lisa, Kenney vote to evict Angela…

8:46 p.m. – … Joseph vote to evict Lisa, Makensy vote to evict Lisa, Cedric vote to evict Lisa, Brooklyn vote to evict Lisa, Cam vote to evict Lisa, Leah vote to evict Lisa, Kimo vote to evict Lisa, and T’Kor vote to evict Lisa.

8:49 p.m. – In a shocking result to the two nominees, Lisa was evicted by a tally of 11-1. With very little facial reaction, Lisa hugged everyone in a quiet exit from the house and then joined Julie for her first interview while Angela emotionally thanked everyone for keeping her in the game.

8:55 p.m. – Lisa explained to Julie that she was blindsided by the vote and “no one was speaking the truth” to her. She thought the plan was to evict Angela and she bought into that as she was a pawn to help ensure Angela wouldn’t win any of the comps. She added that she thought they could have served a better purpose by evicting Angela instead because of her bullying tactics.

8:59 p.m. – In the final shot live from inside the house, Angela seemed to be going over things in her head already and looked as though she could already be second-guessing the house’s reasons for keeping her over Lisa. We’ll have to stay tuned to find out!
