Big Brother 26 Live Feeds: Leah Pitches Quinn On Saving Angela

The Veto comp is done and the countdown is on for the Veto meeting on Monday this week for Big Brother. So what’s going to happen and who will be our final noms of the week ahead of Thursday’s Arena? The decision has yet to be made, but we know where Quinn stands on this. The fewer noms he names this week the happier he’ll be.

Since last night after winning the POV we’ve heard Leah talking about the idea of saving Angela, one of this week’s three Noms. At first I was a little surprised because it’s hard to imagine Leah is close to anyone in the game much less playing it, but it seems this is something she’s considering. Leah explained that Angela is her #1 ally and could be a number for her in the game (and in the Jury, that’s what we’re really talking about, I expect). But is that enough?

Quinn has already said he doesn’t want the Veto used but if there’s anyone in the Big Brother 26 house that he’d bend to their will it’d be Leah. So earlier today Leah met with Quinn and they discussed the options here. Just as above, Leah told Quinn she wanted to keep Angela as a number, but same as before, Quinn pushed back.

Quinn explained his reasoning is that keeping Angela by Leah’s use of the Veto will just tie them together and if a future HOH puts up Angela then suddenly by extension the easy option is to go after Leah too as an easy pawn pairing. That’s not bad, but I’m not buying that Quinn is putting anyone’s best interests ahead of his own. If anything, Quinn would want Leah more isolated for a better chance of drawing her to his side.

Backing up a little more to Saturday, Angela did approach Leah directly and ask for help. This followed Angela’s attempts to get Joseph to talk to Quinn to talk to Leah. Joseph said that wasn’t happening and she’s burned too many bridges to get the help she needs outside an Arena win of her own for that much needed safety. Ouch. Yeah, it stung Angela and she sulked on it for a while.

So will Quinn get his way or will Leah still move ahead on her own? Leah did say that she was starting to feel better about not using the Veto because Angela would still have her chance at safety through the Arena, and that’s true. If Noms stay as they are then it’d be Kimo, Angela, and Rubina in the Arena. Kimo won the first Arena. Rubina almost won one. And then Angela has won more HOHs than anyone else this season, so sure, anything is possible.

But still, will Leah roll over on this or will she go against Quinn? I’d enjoy the fun factor of the latter, but I’m not convinced yet. Leah hasn’t made her mark on the season yet and this could be an opportunity, but without knowing who would be the renom, Leah may not risk it. Quinn only said he’d draw a random selection to be the renom. Perhaps he’s serious or maybe he doesn’t want to give Leah enough info to make an informed decision.
