Mark Harmon has teased a very exciting return to one of his iconic acting roles while speaking with the ladies on The View.
Mark Harmon could be returning back to acting but unfortunately for NCIS fans, it’s not as Detective Leroy Gibbs.
The NCIS alum made an appearance on ABC’s hit morning chat show The View, where he updated the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and the rest of the ladies on his life.
Mark discussed a variety of new things including his role as Leroy Gibbs in NCIS to his new project with Leon Caroll Jr.
It didn’t take long for Sara Hains to probe Mark on his rumoured return to an iconic role he played in 2003 with an even bigger Hollywood actress.
“Well, we have the perfect segway to having you here at our table. Ed Helms was just here talking about his new body-swapping Christmas movie, Family Switch,” Sara Haines began.
“Now the last time Jamie Lee Curtis was here, she told us the sequel to her 2003 hit Freaky Friday is going to happen.”
As she pointed out: “You are in the original,” before questioning: “Will you be in the new one?”
Mark cryptically replied: “I think talking to Jamie is where you got to be on this, and if she wants it to get done it’ll get done.”
Which prompted a quick reply from Sara, who asked: “Is it that simple?”
The NCIS star insisted: “Yeah” You know her. We’ve known each other for a long time and if she wants it to happen I think it would happen,” Mark coyly added.
The 72-year-old actor played Ryan, who plays Jamie Lee’s (Tess Coleman) on-screen partner as well as Lindsay Lohan’s (Anna Coleman) stepfather.
According to Variety, a Freaky Friday sequel is in the works at Disney, with Lindsay and Jamie Lee expected to reprise their roles as the mother-daughter duo.
Other details, like the release date and other cast members are yet to be confirmed
