Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) on “General Hospital” (GH) is one character that spoilers wouldn’t think would soften because, for the most part, she has shown herself to be just as callous as everyone else.
To be fair, though, she usually has a plan that only she understands, which explains why she is so good at achieving her goals.
Is Gregory Responsible for Tracy Softening?
While it fits with her style to manipulate Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) into betraying her friends and then cutting those bonds to make Brook Lynn stronger, it seems a bit out of character to show pity for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).
To be honest, she has been empathetic towards Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) in particular when she found out he had ALS.
But before even that, he started to win her over through his quick wit and intellect and they’re as close to a perfect couple as possible.
That’s one of the main reasons ‘General Hospital’ would love for a plot twist where he was somehow misdiagnosed and he’s not going to deteriorate, but we know that won’t happen.
But his brief time with Tracy has really changed her for the better in some ways.
A work in progress
In general, people never stop changing and growing, even when we don’t think we are; Tracy seems to be going through that right now.
When she spoke up for Sasha and discussed how women in business should support one another rather than undermine one another, she shocked us.
The irony that she said that after tearing Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) in her effort to take 51% of their company.
We can’t wait to see their reaction when they learn she intends to give it to Brook Lynn, but that’s another story.
While we think Tracy meant what she said to a point, there’s the possibility that it’s also because she wants to ensure Brook Lynn walks into a company that’s build to continue thriving instead of following Lucy’s panic and whims.
A friendship forever
We believe Gregory is to blame for this development now that Tracy has somewhat thawed out. At first, their relationship was antagonistic, but as time went on, Gregory weakened her defenses.
We believe that as a result of his sickness, she now has a different perspective on people who are ill in general, which has stoked her interest in Sasha. She can assist Gregory at least, as she is unable to assist Gregory.
