General Hospital teasers suggest that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) may finally be able to leave the terrifying Ferncliffe situation she has been experiencing lately. Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), in this week’s preview, is seen telling Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder), a.k.a. “Dr. Monty,” that “enough is enough” with what he is doing to her daughter-in-law; nevertheless, it appears that if she really wants to “stop,” he will end up blackmailing her. Will Gladys finally act morally and save Sasha on her own?
Gladys Corbin Was *Almost* On A Road To Redemption
On so many levels, this narrative is depressing. Sasha overcame so much and worked so hard to get clean. For fans, it was heartbreaking to see her lose both her young son and her husband Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) so quickly.
Equally painful was witnessing the young woman relapse into drug use. Sasha did, however, manage to turn things around for herself, at least up until Gladys intervened and undid the gains she had gained.
Ms. Corbin was initially on the road to redemption. She stepped up for Sasha and Brando when their baby son passed away, and she also stepped up for Ms. Gilmore when Brando was murdered.
They bonded through their grief; however, somewhere along the way, Gladys lost her step, started gambling, and took advantage of Sasha’s newfound wealth from Deception.
Gladys Could Have A Second Chance Before It’s Too Late
Gladys does care about Sasha, somewhere in that twisted heart. In the GH preview, Dr. Monty is seen going too far in regards to Sasha’s mental health, and Ms. Corbin is disturbed by the whole thing.
Gladys will have to use some of Sasha’s money to fulfill Monty’s request for a payback. Maybe she’ll finally act morally and either tell the truth to the police, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or ask for assistance from him.
Either way, Gladys could step forward to save Sasha and her money before everything gets destroyed.
