GH Spoilers: Has Gladys Corbin Crossed A Line She Can’t Get Back From?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has become a desperate woman. She’s mismanaged her daughter-in-law Sasha Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) affairs, and her gambling is eating away at the young lady’s fortune. With that being said, Sasha is ready to rid herself of their current guardianship arrangement, but Gladys needs things to stay the same because she doesn’t want to get caught in what she’s done.

In fact, Gladys has crossed a line recently to ensure she remains Sasha’s guardian, but has she gone too far this time?

Gladys Corbin Was Once On A Road To Redemption

GH spoilers for the week of July 10th reveal that Gladys will try to run interference, so it sounds as if she’ll be scrambling to keep her secrets hidden.

Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) is not only the therapist assigned to determine if Sasha’s guardianship should be dissolved, but he also happens to sit in on Gladys’s poker games at the Savoy, and it looks as if he’s willing to help her out of her current jam. During a therapy session with Sasha, he recently prescribed her pills to help with anxiety. Of course, it looks like these pills are not on the “up and up”, rather likely the same type of drugs Sasha was once addicted to.

The most unfortunate part of this all is that Gladys had changed so much after Sasha and Brando lost their baby. When she lost her son, she became a pillar of strength for Sasha, and the two bonded. It’s a shame that Gladys has gone down that old and ugly path she was once on.

This May Be A Hard Watch

No one should have to go through the pain and heartbreak Sasha has been through in the past year. Losing a newborn is devastating, and then to lose the love of her life, her rock, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), shortly after the fact, had GH fans feeling awful for Sasha. To boot, she struggled with addiction.

Sasha is an incredibly strong woman that has been through a lot and evolved so much over the years. She’s also worked hard to overcome her heartache and addiction, which is no easy feat. To see Gladys not only take advantage of her daughter-in-law’s kindness but purposely jeopardize her progress when she knows how much she’s been through is disgusting. There’s no coming back from all this, even if the elder Ms. Corbin comes forward, which she likely won’t.
